At Sparker, we have always believed that the most valuable information is that which is anchored to physical reality. But in a world where AI can generate images indistinguishable from reality, geolocation alone is no longer enough. That’s why we’ve been working intensely on what we’re announcing today as the core of our next big evolution: Sparker Verify.

After analyzing the challenges of systemic misinformation, we have developed an architecture that not only says where something happened, but provides irrefutable cryptographic proof of how and when that moment was captured.

The Engineering Behind the Trust

Sparker Verify is not a superficial layer; it is a digital “affidavit of facts” infrastructure based on three technical pillars that we have deeply integrated into our platform:

1. The C2PA Standard: The DNA of Content

We use the standard from the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) to create a cryptographic manifest linked to each file. Using PS256 signing algorithms, we bind capture metadata directly to the image pixels. If content editing is attempted—even a minimal AI-driven alteration—the digital seal is immediately and auditably broken.

2. Hardware Attestation and Secure Enclave

To ensure that a capture is real and not an emulation, Sparker Verify communicates with the device’s physical sensors. We leverage the processor’s Secure Enclave to generate signatures where private keys never leave the hardware.

Our Confidence Score system analyzes factors in milliseconds, such as:

• Motion Sensors: We validate accelerometer and gyroscope telemetry to ensure the device was held by a person in the physical world.
• Camera Attribution: We certify the direct flow from the optical sensor, discarding software injections or emulators.

3. Radical Privacy: Verification Without Upload

We understand that veracity must not compromise privacy. That’s why our SDK allows for local verification. A user or a journalist can validate the authenticity of an image without needing to upload the original file to our servers. Only the cryptographic “hash” travels to our digital notary to confirm that the signature is valid.

We are very close to launching Sparker Verify. This tool will transform the application into a megaphone of trust for conflict witnesses, independent journalists, and citizens who want their reality to be respected.
